Joozoori, meaning “My roots” in Arabic, is a response to the need for culturally relevant stories for Arab children abroad, who often grow up with tales like Snow White and Little Red Riding Hood that don’t reflect their heritage. This initiative offers customizable books and posters, set in 15 Arab countries and created by award-winning Arab artists. Through “Kotobi” books and “Mulsaqati” posters, Joozoori helps young Arabs connect with their culture and language, fostering a sense of belonging and identity distinct from Western fairytales.
